The workshop on ‘Gender issues in animal tractionE/i> was held in 1992 in Mbeya, Tanzania. This was attended by 32 people from Tanzania, Zambia and Zimbabwe. The participants reviewed project experiences and discussed ways in which women can gain more from animal traction technology. A resource book with guidelines was published as a result.
